As always, 100% of the creator proceeds from every sale of the Makeship campaign go to our charity of choice, this time going to Sea Turtule Inc.! Sea Turtle Inc. is a nonprofit organization supporting conservation, medical care, and applied research efforts for various sea turtle populations!

Q: Who is Makeship?

Makeship is a crowdfunding platform which specializes in merchandise aimed at fans of content creators. We have partnered with Makeship to bring the Rainmaker and Deep Diver plushies into reality; Makeship handles the plushie design, manufacturing, shipping and customer support for the plushie.

Q: Who is Sea Turtle Inc.?

From South Padre Island, Texas to the world, Sea Turtle Inc. protects sea turtles through conservation, medical care, applied research, and education. Their Global Impact Grant program currently funds high-impact international conservation projects focused on hawksbill and leatherback sea turtles, from nesting beach protection to community training and engagement. Current projects span Colombia, Costa Rica, Haiti, Mexico, and Panama, driving meaningful change for sea turtles and the communities that share their shores.

Campaign

Q: How does the campaign work?

The Rainmaker Plushie and Deep Diver keychain campaigns are crowdfunding campaigns. The community has 21 days to back the campaign by pre-ordering the Rainmaker plushie and/or the Deep Diver keychain.

If 200 or more units of the Rainmaker plushie are sold, then the Rainmaker campaign is considered successfully funded and the plushie will be made and shipped by Makeship.

If 500 or more units of the Deep Diver plushie are sold, then the Deep Diver campaign is considered successfully funded and the plushie will be made and shipped by Makeship.

If the campaigns do not meet these benchmarks, then the campaigns will be cancelled and all backers will receive a refund. The campaigns are independent of each other, meaning if one campaign meets the benchmark while the other does not, the campaign that succeeded will still be made.

Q: When is the campaign?

The campaign lasts from June 30th at 8 AM EST to July 20th.

Q: What if the campaign fails? Will I get my money back?

If the campaign you back does not achieve the funding goal, all orders will be refunded within 2-7 business days after.

Q: How much of the money I pay for the Rainmaker plushie will go to charity?

If 200 - 399 units are sold, 10% of the gross value of each plushie ($2.99) will be donated to Sea Turtle Inc., with the rest going to Makeship.

If 400 or more units are sold, 30% of the gross value of each plushie ($8.99) will be donated to Sea Turtle Inc. with the rest going to Makeship.

Example: If 150 units are sold, $449.85 (10% of 4498.5) will be donated. If 500 units are sold, $4498.5 (30% of $14995) will be donated.

If the campaign fails to reach its funding goal (i.e. 199 or less units are sold), the campaign is cancelled, all backers will be refunded and no donations will be made.

Q: How much of the money I pay for the Deep Diver keychain will go to charity?

If 500 units are sold, 30% of the gross value of each plushie ($4.79) will be donated to Sea Turtle Inc., with the rest going to Makeship.

Example: If 500 units are sold, $2398.5 (30% of $7995) will be donated.

If the campaign fails to reach its funding goal (i.e. 499 or less units are sold), the campaign is cancelled, all backers will be refunded and no donations will be made.

Q: How can I verify that the money is indeed going to Sea Turtle Inc.?

We publish our accounting statements for each quarter onto our Transparency Hub, so that our community can view and audit our financial statements.

A special checking account has been set up to receive all money we receive from Makeship; it will not mix with other Corporate Clash accounts.

We will publish all donation records to Sea Turtle Inc., as applicable.

Additionally, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN: 82-4222657) registered in the United States of America, which requires us to submit publically-available financial returns to the tax authorities.

Q: How much is each plushie?

The Rainmaker plushie is $29.99, excluding shipping costs.

The Deep Diver keychain is $15.99, excluding shipping costs.

Q: When will the plushies ship?

Each plushie will be shipped 2-3 months after the campaign end date.

Once shipped, estimated delivery is 7-15 business days. Delivery to some areas may take 10-30 business days.

Q: Do you ship to my location?

Q: I'm not happy with my purchase / I would like to cancel my order. How do I get a refund?

Before the campaign ends, you may email support@makeship.com with your order number to receive a full refund.

After the campaign ends, all sales are no longer refundable, except if the campaign fails to reach its funding goals.

Q: My plushie arrives damaged. What do I do?

Q: If I miss the campaign window, will I still be able to buy the plushie at a later date?

No; as the plushie is limited-run, once the campaign ends, you will not have a chance to purchase the plushie again.
